Over the coming days, Intercity Transit will temporarily discontinue some routes and reduce service on others.
Intercity Transit is closely monitoring the latest developments in the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and is responding to the rapidly evolving situation with measures to protect the health and safety of our customers, employees and community.
The Intercity Transit Authority is canceling the Wednesday, March 18, 2020, meeting. The next meeting of the Authority will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at 5:30 p.m.

Intercity Transit is closely monitoring developments with respect to COVID-19 (coronavirus). The safety of our customers and our employees is our top priority and we are following the professional guidance of our public health officials. Preventing future cases requires all of us to do our part. 

Along with cleaning our buses nightly, we are researching additional cleaning protocols.

The Intercity Transit Authority is canceling the Wednesday, February 19, 2020, meeting. The next meeting of the Authority will held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 5:30 p.m.
Intercity Transit has been named a First Prize Award recipient for the 2020 AdWheel Awards competition sponsored by the American Public Transportation System, or APTA. The award recognizes Intercity Transit’s comprehensive outreach effort to involve the community in transportation planning.

Intercity Transit will be closed on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019 and New Year’s Day, Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020. Local bus, Express, Dial-A-Lift, and Village Vans will not operate. Customer Service located in the Olympia Transit Center and the business office will also be closed.
​​​​​​​The Intercity Transit Authority is canceling the Wednesday, December 18, 2019, and the January 1, 2020 meeting.  The next meeting of the Authority will held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at 5:30 p.m.
Intercity Transit will launch a new route to expand service into the growing Northeast Lacey area. Route 65 – Hawks Prairie, is currently being planned with input from the community. The new route is scheduled to begin on March 22, 2020.
Intercity Transit will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019. Regular local bus, Express, Dial-A-Lift, and Village Vans will not operate. Customer Service located in the Olympia Transit Center and the business office will also be closed. We will operate on normal schedules Friday, Nov. 29, 2019.
The Intercity Transit Authority will conduct interviews for the purpose of filling an open Citizen Representative position.  The interviews will be held beginning at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019, at the administrative offices of Intercity Transit, 526 Pattison SE, Olympia, WA.
The Intercity Transit Authority (Authority) will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019 to receive comments on a five-year, “zero-fare” demonstration project. The Authority will vote whether to implement the project on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019 at Intercity Transit’s administrative office located at 526 Pattison St. SE in Olympia. If passed the project will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2020.
Intercity Transit will launch its new high-performance, limited stop bus service Monday, November 11, 2019. “The One,” provides faster, more direct transit service, connecting the Martin Way Park & Ride in Lacey to the Capital Mall in west Olympia with limited stops.
Intercity Transit will conduct three public hearings, Wednesday, November 20, 2019, beginning at 5:30 p.m. to receive public comments on the draft 2020 Budget, the 2020-2025 Strategic Plan, and proposed change to fares.  The hearings will take place at the administrative offices of Intercity Transit, 526 Pattison SE, Olympia, 98501.

Intercity Transit operates on regular schedules on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11. Customer Service, located in the Olympia Transit Center, will be open regular weekday hours, 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the holiday.
