Snow Detours Continue on Intercity Transit Routes into Monday Morning

For Immediate Release: Feb. 10, 2019

Olympia, WA – Due to poor road conditions and anticipated worsening weather, many Intercity Transit routes continue to be on snow detours that will stay in place through tomorrow morning, Monday, Feb. 11. Standard snow detours are in place on the following routes:

Community Advisory Committee meeting cancelled on Monday, Feb. 11

The Community Advisory Committee meeting scheduled tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 11, is cancelled due to inclement weather.

No Transit Service Christmas Day & New Year's Day

For Immediate Release: Dec. 17, 2018

Olympia, WA – Intercity Transit will be closed on Christmas Day, Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018 and New Year’s Day, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. Local bus, Express, Dial-A-Lift, and Village Vans will not operate. Customer Service located in the Olympia Transit Center and the business office will also be closed.

Dec. 17, 2018 CAC meeting canceled

The Community Advisory Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, December 17, 2018, has been canceled.

Dec. 19, 2018 Transit Authority meeting canceled

The Intercity Transit Authority is canceling the Wednesday, December 19, 2018, meeting. The next meeting of the Authority will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at 5:30 p.m.

No Intercity Transit Service on Thanksgiving Day

Intercity Transit will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018. Regular local bus, Express, Dial-A-Lift, and Village Vans will not operate. Customer Service located in the Olympia Transit Center and the business office will also be closed. We will operate on normal schedules Friday, Nov. 23, 2018.

Nov. 21, 2018 Transit Authority Meeting Canceled

The Intercity Transit Authority is canceling the Wednesday, November 21, 2018, meeting. The next meeting of the Authority will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 5:30 p.m.

Intercity Transit Operates Regular Schedules on Veterans Day

Intercity Transit operates on regular schedules on Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, 2018. Customer Service, located in the Olympia Transit Center, will be open regular weekend hours, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. on the holiday.

Notice of Public Hearing: 2019-2024 Draft Strategic Plan

Intercity Transit will conduct a public hearing, Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, beginning at 5:30 p.m. to receive public comment on the 2019-2024 draft Strategic Plan.

Transit Authority Seeks Members for Community Advisory Committee

The Intercity Transit Authority (Authority) seeks volunteer members for the CAC. The 20-member advisory group provides input to the Authority on public transportation issues such as service changes, strategic plans, the budget, fare structures, and other topics.

Share the Road with Walkers and Bikers

With school starting, more children are walking and biking to school. October is International Walk to School Month so drivers should use extra caution, especially when near children and schools.

Retired Vanpool Vans Available to Community Organizations

Intercity Transit is accepting applications for surplus vanpool vans. Five 12-passenger vans and two seven-passenger vans are available for granting to qualifying non-profit organizations and agencies. Applications are due Friday, Nov. 16 by 4 p.m.

Applications for Discounted Bus Pass Grant Program due Nov. 16 by 4 p.m.

The Intercity Transit Authority invites non-profit and government organizations to apply for the Discounted Bus Pass Grant Program. This program allows qualifying agencies who serve low-income clients to purchase monthly adult and youth bus passes at half price. Non-profit and government organizations within Intercity Transit’s service area may apply.
