Bus stop #54 (Capitol Way and Maple Park) will be closed weekdays starting Friday, Jan. 29 until further notice due to the closure of the sidewalk for construction

Bus stop #54, located at Capitol Way and Maple Park [NB], will be closed weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. due to the closure of the sidewalk for construction. The stop will be closed starting Friday, Jan. 29 and will reopen once sidewalk construction work is complete during winter 2021. During the project, please catch the bus at Capitol Way and 11th Ave. [NB] or Capitol Way and 18th Ave. [NB].

Route 94 on detour 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28 due the closure of 22nd Ave. in Olympia for tree removal

Route 94 will be on detour from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28 due to the closure of 22nd Ave. in Olympia for tree removal. During the project, four stops will be closed on 22nd Ave. between Cain Rd. and Fir St.

Potential for snow and ice in our forecast

Winter weather conditions are in our forecast. We may see snow beginning Monday and continuing into the week. Prepare for winter weather now by becoming familiar with our standard snow detours online at intercitytransit.com/bus/routes/snow-detours.

Route 65 on detour today, Jan. 25

Route 65 will be on detour today, Jan. 25 until further due to the closure of Marvin Rd. NE, in the area of 41st Ave. to the roundabout at Hawks Prairie Rd. NE, for a roundabout expansion project. During the detour, there will be four stops closed.

Express Service, Dash and Nightline remain canceled

We are continuing to assess when we will be able to resume Express Service to Tacoma. Until then, Advanced Reservation Service to the SR-512 Park & Ride will be available for essential trips only. Advanced Reservation Service does not accommodate same-day trips. In addition, Dash and Nightline are currently not operating.

Attending the February 3, 2021, Authority Meeting

Intercity Transit is currently closed to the public and this meeting will be held remotely in accordance with SCR 8402 extending certain gubernatorial orders issued in response to the COVID-19 state of emergency. The public may attend the February 3, 2021, Authority meeting listening by telephone or via Facebook.

 

January 20, 2021 Intercity Transit Authority Meeting Canceled

​​​​​​​The Intercity Transit Authority is canceling the Wednesday, January 20, 2021, meeting.  The next meeting of the Authority will held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at 5:30 p.m.

 

Intercity Transit Adds Service on Busy Martin Way Corridor

Intercity Transit has added service to Routes 62A and 62B to better serve passengers traveling along the Martin Way corridor. The additional bus service increases trip frequency between the Olympia Transit Center and Marvin Road to every 15 minutes. The changes are effective immediately and will operate 7 days a week. The additional service is designed to reduce crowding and allow for greater physical distancing among passengers.

 

Attending the January 6, 2021, Authority Meeting

Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, Intercity Transit is currently closed to the public. To adhere to the Governor’s Proclamation 20.28 the public may attend the January 6, 2021, Authority meeting listening by telephone or via Facebook.  

 

December 21, 2020 CAC Meeting canceled

The Community Advisory Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, December 21, 2020, has been canceled.
