The paving project at Capital Mall is finished and the bus zone has reopened. Routes 45, 47, 48, and 68 are back on their regular routes and serving the bus zone again.

Due to Capital Mall paving the bus zone, near JCPenney, Routes 45, 47, 48, and 68 will be on detour. Buses will not be able to access the bus zone all day Friday, July 22. During the bus zone closure, passengers should catch buses to the north of the bus zone.

Mall Loop Dr. is open and Routes 45, 47, 48, and 68 will no longer be on detour in this location. However, Capital Mall is paving the bus zone, near JCPenney, and it will be closed all day Thursday, July 21. During the bus zone closure, passengers should catch buses to the west of the bus zone in front of the entrance to the theater.

Dial-A-Lift, local and Express bus service will operate regular weekday service on Independence Day, Monday, July 4. Customer Service at the Olympia Transit Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to assist customers. Intercity Transit’s administrative office is closed and Village Vans will not operate in observance of the holiday.

Routes 41 and 48 will be on detour Friday, June 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. due to the closure of the Library Loop, Overhulse Place and Evergreen Parkway for graduation ceremonies at Evergreen. Buses will use Driftwood Rd. and lay over at the Dorm Loop bus stop.

Routes 41 and 48 will be on detour Friday, June 10 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 11 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. due to the closure of the Library Loop, Overhulse Place and Evergreen Parkway for graduation ceremonies at Evergreen. There will be five stops closed.

Outbound routes 12, 42, and 45, and inbound routes 13, 41, 45, 47, 48, 60, 64, and 620 will be on detour through Friday, Jan. 21, near OTC due to the temporary closure of Olympia Ave. between Capitol Way and Washington St. No stops will be affected.

Due to flooding over the roadway, Route 48 is on detour at The Evergreen State College. Buses will detour from Evergreen Pkwy to Overhulse Rd and back to Evergreen Pkwy where they will be back on their regular route.

All routes are on regular routing. Snow is in our forecast, however. If there is a need to put routes on snow detour as a result of changing conditions, we will provide updated information as soon as possible.

Buses are not stopping on hills this morning, Tuesday, Jan. 4, due to icy road conditions. Passengers need to go to the nearest stop at either the top or bottom of hills to board all routes until further notice.
