Intercity Transit Authority Moves to Monthly Meeting Schedule Beginning April 2026
Olympia, Wash — At its February 18, 2026 meeting, the Intercity Transit Authority (ITA) approved Resolution 01-2026, establishing a new monthly meeting schedule. Starting with its April 15, 2026, the ITA will meet once per month on the third Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., transitioning from its previous twice-monthly meeting format.
The change was adopted in response to significant variability in meeting length and complexity under the prior schedule. Consolidating two shorter meetings into one slightly longer session is expected to improve efficiency, improve attendance and simplify engagement opportunities for the public.
The ITA bylaws allow for special meetings as needed, ensuring the agency can respond promptly to unforeseen issues or time-sensitive matters.
All ITA meetings will continue to be accessible to the public in a hybrid format. Community members may attend in person at Intercity Transit’s Administration and Operations building, located at 510 Pattison Street SE in Olympia, or can register to participate remotely via Microsoft Teams.
