The Youth Bike Summit (YBS) is a 3-day national conference bringing together students, educators, and advocates to give youth a voice. YBS is hosted by the National Youth Bike Council (NYBC), which envisions a world where young people learn to create meaningful community engagement through bicycling and their leadership skills.

This year, NYBC is encouraging communities to host their own mini version of the Youth Bike Summit to show off youth excellence through bicycling in our city. Walk N Roll will be hosting a Big Ride in honor of the YBS this year! The Big Ride will be Sunday, May 31st, and it will be a chance for participants to gather and ride in the name of youth excellence.

Join us for an afternoon of fun, riding, and celebrating youth excellence from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday, May 31st. We will meet at the Chamber’s Lake Trailhead of the Chehalis Western Trail at 12:45, and we will roll out at 1:00. This ride is family friendly and good for riders of all ages and abilities. We can’t guarantee this route will be family friendly for Strider bikes. If you are bringing your own bike, please make sure it is in working order and you have a helmet for each rider. If you need to borrow a bike, a form to complete will be available soon.

Quantities of each size of bike are limited, we will reach out to you via email to confirm that we have the bike you need.
