May I Use Intercity Transit Tickets on Express?
You may use Intercity Transit tickets to ride our Express service. You must pay the difference between the ticket value and the fare at the farebox.


When May I Ride for a Reduced Fare
?*

If you are 65 or older, have a qualifying doctor-verified disability, or a Medicare Card, you may ride for a discounted fare. You must show a valid Regional Reduced Fare Permit when you pay a discounted fare.

A Regional Reduced Fare Permit costs $3 and requires an application. Please bring:

  • proof of age,
  • S.S.I. disability award letter,
  • VA paperwork with 40 percent or more disability, or
  • A valid Medicare Card.

The ORCA card and cash may be used on Sound Transit buses. Intercity Transit passes are not valid. 
                          
*Requires Regional Reduced Fare Permit. Eligibility based on age, disability, or possession of a Medicare card.  To apply, call Customer Service, e-mail customerservice@intercitytransit.com, or fill out the Regional Reduce Fare Permit Application.
