    Post Job Offer Employment Physical Examination

    Selected candidate must successfully pass a post job-offer employment related physical examination. A drug screening will be included for all safety sensitive positions. Examination and screening are paid by Intercity Transit. Employees must maintain a physical condition throughout employment that allows completion of all essential functions of the job. top


    Introductory Period

    Selected candidate must be able to successfully complete established introductory period for the position; normally 6 months. Requires satisfactory job performance of essential duties and tasks of position. top


    Drug-Free, Alcohol-Free, and Smoke-Free Workplace

    Selected candidate must be able to comply with Intercity Transit's Drug and Alcohol Policy, which includes federally mandated random drug and alcohol testing for safety-sensitive employees throughout employment. Reporting to work not fit for duty is prohibited. Selected candidate must also be able to comply with Intercity Transit's Smoke-Free Workplace Policy. Smoking is not permitted in transit owned or operated facilities except in outside designated areas. <top/p>


    Immigration Reform and Tax Control Act

    Selected candidate must be able to show employment authorization to work in the United States and verify identity in accordance with the Immigration Reform and Tax Control Act of 1986. Required documentation must be submitted within 72 hours of date-of-hire. top


    Motor Vehicle Driver's License

    If the position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, selected candidate must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License and must maintain an acceptable driving record level throughout employment as monitored by periodic reviews of driving record. top


    Commercial Driver's License

    If the position requires the operation of a commercial motor vehicle, selected candidate must possess or be able to obtain (within established time frame) a valid Commercial Driver's License (with appropriate classification and endorsements) and must be able to comply with the provisions of the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1988. top


    Criminal Background Check

    Selected candidates for all positions must be willing to submit to a criminal background investigation, the results of which must meet Intercity Transit's hiring criteria.

    In accordance with the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act, if the position will have unsupervised access to children under 16 years of age or to developmentally disabled persons, selected candidate must be able to successfully pass a Washington State Patrol Criminal History Background Check. top
