Earn-A-Bike classes teach youth in Thurston County essential bicycle safety and maintenance skills to help prepare them to ride their bicycle independently. Students who complete the class earn a refurbished bicycle and new helmet.

Online Earn-A-Bike Classes

We are partnering with the cities of Olympia, Lacey and Tumwater to offer Earn-A-Bike classes online. Classes are open to all youth ages 11-17 who live in Thurston County.

Students complete a series of online video-based lessons and quizzes. Students who successfully complete the class earn a refurbished bicycle and new helmet. Upon completion, students schedule a time to fit and pick-up their bicycle and helmet at the Walk N Roll Education Center in downtown Olympia. If students are unable to transport their bicycle home, Intercity Transit can deliver. Participants will need access to a computer or smart phone and internet.
