Intercity Transit joins in the holiday spirit, offering free “Jingle Bus” rides, gift delivery to Santa’s Castle on Joint Base Lewis McChord, and waste-free holiday gift ideas. And don’t forget the special holiday schedules and closures.
Jingle Bus
The festively decorated Jingle Bus is, once again, offering a special gift: free rides! Sporting a huge red bow on the sides, the “Jingle Bus” will operate on every local transit route throughout the holiday season – a different route every day -- offering candy canes, free fare, and holiday cheer wherever it goes.
Toy Deployment
Intercity Transit, KGY Radio, area businesses, and generous community members will participate in the ninth annual “Toy Deployment.” Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride Intercity Transit’s Jingle Bus, chock full of gifts, to Fort Lewis on Saturday, December 8, delivering over a thousand toys and gifts donated by Thurston County families. The toys will be distributed to the children of low-income military families.
You can take part by donating an unwrapped toy or gift certificate at one of the area TwinStar Credit Unions or Rick Stevens Geico office in Lakewood by Friday, December 7.
Gift Certificates
Intercity Transit monthly pass gift certificates make a great holiday gift. The recipient gets mobility, stress-free transportation, and savings at the pump – for an entire month.
You can get gift certificates at Customer Service at the Olympia Transit Center. You can also purchase them by phone with a VISA or Mastercard.
